The Mail (via ) reports that Villa are likely to make sales before June ends to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules, but Rogers isn't among those up for transfer. Leon Bailey is more likely to depart, with interest from the Saudi Pro League, while Villa are reportedly open to offers for Jacob Ramsey.

The England Under-21 international, who was sidelined part of last season due to injury, is said to be available for around £40million.

Lucas Digne, Villa's left-back, has only one year remaining on his contract, and Atletico Madrid are keen to bring the Frenchman back to La Liga. Digne, turning 32 in July, spent two years at Barcelona before joining the Premier League - initially with Everton - in 2018.

Villa raked in a hefty sum exceeding £100m in player sales last season and bolstered their squad with new players such as Ian Maatsen and Ross Barkley, while saying farewell to Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby who left for Juventus and Al Ittihad respectively.

Emi Martinez's future appears uncertain. The former Arsenal goalkeeper couldn't hide his emotions on the final weekend of the season and has been less than forthcoming about his career plans, despite attention from Manchester United and several Saudi teams.

Martinez played it coy with journalists during the June international break with Argentina, saying: "My future? I don't know. I come here to play for the national team, and that's the only thing that matters to me right now.

"Do I want to move to a new club? The transfer window just opened, so there's still a long way to go."
