It was Dembele who scored the one and in North London before he was withdrawn in the second half with a potential muscle injury.

Mikel Merino thought he'd equalised for the Gunners shortly after half-time, but VAR intervened and it's the French side who take an important advantage into the second leg.

PSG boss Luis Enrique admitted that Dembele is now a doubt to face Arsenal next week. Serge Dubeau, a doctor based in France, has now offered a potential timeframe for how long Dembele could be on the sidelines recovering from the injury.

"A strain is a minor muscle injury that affects the muscle's structure," Dubeau told . "The damage isn't very significant. We're talking about grade one.

"In terms of downtime, to give an imprecise range, it requires a rest period of 10 to 15 days.

"A week? That's close, very close. A muscle injury, even if there's no major disruption, is still an injury. Those with hamstring injuries are more likely to re-injure themselves.

"If you start again too soon, it's like any healing process; the tear risks getting bigger."

"It's difficult to assess the severity," Dubeau continued. "It doesn't seem like a serious injury, given his behaviour: gradual withdrawal, it doesn't seem very painful, and he's not lying down.

"Given his history, he clearly sensed there was a problem that should never be underestimated at this sporting level."
