The race to become the new England boss is an intriguing one with many names being thrown into the ring.
Tuchel in particular has reportedly even held talks, which makes sense considering of the three he is the only one without a current job in the scene.
Arsenal fans will remember Arsene Wenger being approached before to take the role.
Yet as the pendulum again swings toward another individual, only one of the three aforementioned names would get Wenger’s approval based on what he has said on the matter. The Frenchman has a clear view on the characteristics of who the England boss should be.
"It is very important [the manager is English], I have always said that,'' Wenger told beIN. "A country like England, with a huge football passion, and as well the structure of the national team, looks to me, demands a guy from your own nation as the leader.
"If you think that tomorrow you are the coach of France and you play against England, when the national anthem is played of England, you cannot sing it and you cannot sing as well the anthem of the team you are leading. It looks to me a bit strange. That is why I like what is logical. I think it is better [to have an Englishman].''

This therefore would indicate that Wenger would lean toward Howe as the choice for the next coach. Or perhaps some of the other names like Graham Potter and Gary O’Neil who have also been suggested.
Tuchel and Guardiola have by far the stronger record in terms of winning at the elite level. Yet, the English managerial scene has lagged behind many other nations in this regard despite both Fabio Capello and Sven Goran Eriksson failing to reach the heights seen under Gareth Southgate of late.
The golden generation of stars in the side at present has wonderful potential. Rice and Saka are certainly at the centre of it but the coach who can help the Three Lions take the next step appears yet to know their identity.
