Escape to the Country's Jules Hudson found himself a touch anxious on Tuesday's episode when faced with an earnest warning from a homeowner.
The programme introduced viewers to Steve and Sarah, a couple in search of their perfect Devonshire home.
With a hefty £1million to play with, Jules was charged with the mission to find them a house featuring 3-4 bedrooms, potential for a holiday let enterprise, and no more than an hour from Bude.
Their property hunt commenced with a visit to a first home in Cranford, which left the pair thoroughly impressed.
Before they even set foot inside, Jules shared that the property boasted four acres of land, including a breathtaking one-and-a-half-acre lake. Steve fell silent, swept up by renovation ideas, reports .
His vision was clear: "I'm thinking we build a real art-deco style bridge taking us out to there and we centre mound and you make that the centrepiece holiday let."
To this, a thrilled Jules responded: "He's all over this! We've only just arrived!"
The BBC presenter, half in jest, suggested this might be 'the one' as they toured the rest of the equally enchanting home.
By the end of their visit, it was obvious that Jules had a challenging task ahead, especially with Sarah already envisioning their life there.
Brimming with excitement, the host exclaimed: "What a start! Do we need to see anymore?"
Steve confessed that the first property they had seen set a high standard, stating: "You're going to have to really up your game on the next one mate, mix it up a bit."
To which Jules responded: "You've got me worried now! But I am happy we've got this one clearly on the table."
When the episode reached its climax, viewers tuned in to find out what Steve and Sarah decided after showing interest in a rival property.
The couple revisited two houses away from the cameras, ultimately leading to them placing an offer on the first property, which was happily accepted.
Escape to the Country is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
