Deal or No Deal returned for a brand new series this afternoon with Stephen Mulhern at the helm.

The series made its return this afternoon for a new series, with Myles in the hot seat. It was a disastrous first round for him but he revealed some exciting news - he had got married during the break between filming the series.

Other contestants were back too and one had some good news to share. As the show kicked off, Stephen said: "We're back! But unfortunately the banker is back too! Which can only mean one thing - we are back for a new series!

"Can you believe it? It's a dream! Welcome to our brand new series of Deal or No Deal. It feels so good to be back, doesn't it? We've got the boxes out of storage so everyone can play the game that's all about holding your nerve and braving the banker. And even better than that, the players are back too everybody! It's so good to see you all!"

Stephen then went on to greet the contestants and revealed Orla was now expecting a baby! Sharing the exciting news, he said: "Orla used to be the last one in the bar at the hotel - but I hear that's all got to change! Orla do you want to tell everyone the good news?"

Orla then revealed she was expecting a baby. She told viewers: "So the good news is I've brought someone new with me but you can't see them!" as the studio audience and her fellow contestants cheered her happy news!

Asked if she had any cravings, Orla admitted she'd love a glass of wine. She said: "Not really but I would love a glass of wine! Is that really bad?" as Stephen quipped the day would come when she could drink again.

She revealed they didn't know the baby's gender, explaining that there were "very few surprises" in life so she wanted to keep that a surprise until the baby was born. The host then said: "If it's a boy, you're more than welcome to call it Stephen!"

Earlier this year, Stephen confirmed Deal or No Deal would be back for a new series this year.

Speaking about the job, he said: "It's the hardest job but the most rewarding. It is the biggest shock to my career because I knew the show was big, when Noel Edmonds used to do it. Catchphrase I've been doing for 10 series, I used to watch it when I was growing up, it's been a dream. Saturday Night Takeaway is an amazing show because I'm with two friends I absolutely love working with.

"But Deal or No Deal...because it's 22 members of the public and I love working with the public anyway, but you hear everything as a presenter. It's possibly the hardest job but the most rewarding job because you've got highs, you've got lows, you've got people that are there to win money, but over that hour you learn a lot about that one person."

*Deal Or No Deal is on ITV1 and ITVX at 4pm weekdays.
