Fans vented their fury over the 25-year-old’s latest podcast episode, in which she interviewed controversial star Bonnie Blue. The duo discussed the adult star’s recent tour of universities around the UK as she tried to sleep with 100 students during Freshers Week, and GK posted clips from the episode on her social media accounts to try and drum up excitement for the episode.
In one clip, Bonnie shockingly revealed her exploits with “barely legal” lads aged 18 and 19, and also spoke about an explicit encounter with a father and son. “When the son first saw me with his dad, I thought he was going to tell me off but he wasn't, he was jealous and wanted to join in,” she shared.
Due to mounting backlash over the content of the episode, GK has now deleted the teaser clips to promote the upcoming episode, and she’s faced a huge backlash from her loyal fanbase. “Her audience is 13-20 year old girls. Young and impressionable. This is not the message young girls should be hearing,” one fumed, as another agreed: “GK Barry agreed with all Bonnie said and it's sickening. What was said is disturbing and has nout to do with feminism. The glorification of [sex work] has put girls and young women in serious danger.”
GK also faced another controversy earlier this year, as it was rumoured she and fellow co-host Frankie Bridge were feuding. In August, the panel were discussing changing careers later in life, and viewers spotted a cringe-worthy comment made by GK that did not impress The Saturdays singer Frankie.
GK recalled being obsessed with The Saturdays when she was younger, and told the audience: “I didn't get any GSCE 's at school but I thought, that's OK, I'll be Frankie!’” But the mother-of-two was less than impressed, and quickly replied: “That felt like a backhanded compliment!”
The influencer later dismissed rumours of a feud, and said she and Frankie were “laughing” about the alleged fallout. “We were completely fine and she was actually really lovely to me when I got there and after the show. It was just a joke with the whole age thing on the panel but I think some people did take it seriously,” she explained. “I love The Saturdays so I would never fall out with Frankie Bridge.”
