Director Damien Leone took to Instagram to hail the ‘monumental achievement’, writing: “Truly a monumental achievement for us, especially considering we’re an indie, unrated film that was always deemed too niche or too violent for mainstream audiences.”

Terrifier 3 is so grisly that numerous audience members have reportedly walked out of cinema screenings, with the bloody violence causing some to vomit. The film held its UK premiere earlier this month, with the film’s distributor, Signature Entertainment, reporting via X that venue staff counted ‘11 people walking out and one person vomiting’.
