Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher said: "I must say I was disappointed with Liverpool. When you think of the problems Arsenal had [with injuries] during the game then l would have expected them to create a lot more."

And while Carragher claims that the Reds should have taken advantage of Arsenal’s injury woes, captain and goalscorer Van Dijk claimed that the Gunners still made it an extremely difficult game.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Dutchman said: “Another player injured? I think they only had two injuries today. Obviously they played a very, very strong team. It’s part of the game. We were obviously pushing and deservedly scored the equaliser.”

He added: "Listen, it's a very tough place to come. They created a solid team and make it difficult for everyone. To come back twice is a good thing, we take the point and we move.
