Kirstie Allsopp set to inherit a small fortune as star's late father leaves behind millions

TV presenter has been gifted an eye-watering £1.5million fortune following her father's death at the age of 83.

The 53 year old star, famous for her property TV shows alongside her co-host , has been in a state of mourning since her father died in June. According to The Sun, Lord Charles Hindlip passed away at his home in Dorset, leaving behind a multi-million pound estate worth an estimated £6,113,334.

And it has been claimed that after the deduction of bills, the estate left to and her three siblings will be £6,080,843. Lord Hindlip had planned to leave the estate to his wife Lady Fiona Hindlip, however, she passed away before him in 2014.

Now, his fortune will be split between Kirstie, Henry, 51, Sophie, 44 and Natasha Allsopp. Kirstie's share stands at £1.5million. The Sun claims that Lord Charles chose to leave several pieces of artwork to his only son Henry, which include paintings of Lady Emily Berkeley by Sir Thomas Lawrence and of the Cateret family.

Lord Charles was a well-renowned auctioneer and previously held the position as chairman of Christie's auction house between 1996 and 2002. Famously, in 1997, two months before the tragic death of the he was the auctioneer for 79 of her dresses. The collection raised £2.8million for cancer and AIDS charities

He was also the auctioneer of artist Van Gogh's Sunflowers in 1987, which sold for £24.75 million. At that time, the sale price became the most expensive painting ever auctioned. Along with a host of pictures of her late father, Kirstie paid tribute to him on social media. In June, she wrote: "This is my Dad, Charlie Hindlip. He was a great auctioneer, the best of his generation, an artist, a gardener, a father of four, and grandfather of eight, a loving husband to a wife he lost too soon.

She continued her emotional post saying: "He was a real star, he worked hard, played hard and went further than anyone ever expected. He died at home yesterday, surrounded by love, flowers & photographs, in a house he built, looking out over a stunning garden he created from scratch. I have been so proud to be his daughter all my life, and will be until the day I die. Bless you Dad, we loved you so much."

The week before he passed away, Kirstie revealed that her father was in hospital. She said: "When my Dad was very ill in 2022, I used my energy and endless time by his bed to tweet about visiting hours; many were still operating unnecessary Covid-related restrictions. Dad is back in hospital, hopefully briefly, this time I'm just going to tweet observations as the news is full of people saying how they plan to fix this or that and the is a big part of that."
