After six months navigating her new life without Jon, Lucy will now present the BBC New Comedy Awards Final, which airs on BBC1 on November 13 at 10.40pm. The competition, which Lucy previously won, sees six up-and-coming acts - who have been whittled down from 1,000 entrants - compete to be crowned champion by impressing the judging panel led by head judge and ...Get Me Out of Here! star, Babatunde Aléshé.

Speaking about landing the prestigious gig, Lucy said: "I'm so excited to be hosting the New Comedy Awards 2024. I remember how exciting it is to start out in a comedy career and I'm honoured to share the stage with such incredible new talent as they begin, what is sure to be, long careers in the industry."

Now in its 29th year, the BBC New Comedy Awards have helped launch the careers of many well-known comedy greats including Peter Kay, Lee Mack, John Oliver, Russell Howard, Alan Carr, Sarah Millican, Josie Long, - as well as Lucy.

The talented comedian and her ex husband Jon started dating in 2013 after they met each other through friend, Roisin Conaty, and went on to work together on a number of shows including Meet The Richardsons on Dave.

However, in April they announced they were calling it a day, releasing a joint statement, which read: "After nine years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated. We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways. "

Lucy is now said to be dating sound engineer, Martin Wallace, who was in Manchester earlier this month.

While it is not known how the pair met, Martin used to work as a sound engineer on Jon's 2014 stand up special, Jon Richardson Live: Nidiot. He has also worked closely with a range of comedy stars, including Rob Beckett and Dara Ó Briain.
