A baffled says no one can pronounce her and insists it's not that difficult.

Mum-of-three Lucy said when her daughter was born, she was inundated with messages from people asking how to pronounce her name, but she didn't think it was that much of a complicated moniker as it's "spelt the way it sounds".

In a video posted on , the mum confessed her daughter would have to just "live" with constantly being asked how to say her name, and doesn't understand why people can't grasp it. The now-viral video has racked up over four million views, with many agreeing it's an easy name.

The mum, who regularly posts 'parenting predicaments' under the name @ on TikTok shared her gripe of people not understanding her daughter's name and asked: "I love unusual names! Does your child have a unique name, and do people struggle to pronounce it??!!" Lucy then added: "Our daughter has a unique name, not many people have it, but it's spelt the way it sounds, but for some reason, people can't pronounce it."

"When I texted everybody when she was born telling them her name, we had so many messages saying, 'How do you pronounce it?'" However the mum thinks there is "only one way to say it" as she's spelt it phonetically, but some people still don't thinks it's very clear.

She added: "I guess it's just the price we pay for choosing a unique name, but I actually just really like unique names. Nothing silly, just different. She's just going to have to live with that her whole life, I imagine, people asking how to say her name." While she didn't say the name in the video, she then took to the comments later on to reveal the name as 'Romie' and said: "I don't think it's unheard of."

People were quick to share their thoughts, as one TikToker asked: "How can people not pronounce romie?" While another gave their personal verdict and said: "As somebody in with a unique name, having to correct people every day is tiresome. It has put a great burden on me. Yes. Parents should perhaps think about that before they opt for a unique name."
