When it comes to parenting, and Kate Middleton are never short of sage advice and regularly share snippets of their home-life with the public while out and about on public engagements. From favourite bedtime stories, to screen-time limits, over the years, the royals have revealed plenty of insight into their parenting style - but it appears has one extra trick up his sleeve as he recently revealed the mantra he likes to live by when it comes to his three children.
On October 15, the Prince of Wales, 42 attended a community day in London organised by the Foundation UK, in which he was given an American to take home to his children in thanks for his visit - prompting the heir to the throne to cheekily joke about how it tied into a “crucial motto” for raising his kids.
"Oh, that's very kind. Never go home empty handed! That's a crucial motto of being a parent," Prince William said in a video shared by .
"That's really kind of you. Thank you very much. We'll do some practice together," William continued. "See how many windows I can smash!"

The cheeky insight into life with his three children , 11, 9 and 6 - is far from the first time William has opened up about raising them in recent weeks. While , 42, has been recovering privately from cancer for the most of the year, her husband William has been taking the helm with public engagements, where he has been given plenty of small tokens and sweets as messages of support from well-wishers.
Notably, while interacting with the public, Prince William has let slip numerous details about what his children have been enjoying lately, such as Princess Charlotte’s keen love of “dancing and performing” and even how all three of his when it comes to deciding who gets to watch TV!
Although the year has been tough for the royals, there was a glimmer of hope last month that normality could soon be on the horizon when the announced that she has successfully finished her chemotherapy treatment with a sweet video clip that featured her husband and children.
Clearly showcasing their close bond, even despite the hardships of the past 12 months, the family couldn’t be stronger, with one palace insider previously revealing that George, Charlotte and Louis all look “pretty happy with life.”
"Those children look pretty happy with life," a palace insider previously told about the Wales kids. "A lot of it is the stabilising normality Kate brings — and that's how she grew up. William absolutely loves it.”
"Coming from a different background, she appreciates the importance of having family time," a source close to the royal household said. "She wasn't brought up in that aristocratic setting where you see the children for a short time each day."
