Yellowstone fans 'remember' forgotten character as 'real reason' for show exit explained

The beloved American neo-Western drama is set to make its return on November 10, and with only a handful of episodes left, fans are preparing for a gripping conclusion to the season.

With Yellowstone's highly anticipated return around the corner, sadly without Kevin Costner reprising his role as John Dutton due to his exit from the series earlier this year, die-hard fans have hit Reddit to reminisce over past seasons.

During these nostalgic discussions, one character, in particular, seems to have slipped from many fans' memories following the actress's abrupt farewell from the show, reports .

Reddit enthusiast @windmillninja ignited conversation by sharing a snapshot of actress Kelly Rohrbach as Cassidy Reid.

The post read: "Shout out to Cassidy Reid. Every rewatch when she shows up I'm always like 'Oh yeah you were a thing for a minute.'"

In the of Yellowstone, the character Cassidy makes waves as a one-time prosecutor and rodeo queen who garnered the support of John Dutton for Montana's Attorney General role.

Cassidy was catapulted into the position following Jamie Dutton's (played by Wes Bentley) halted campaign but quit her post when offered the elevated role of Attorney General for the United States.

Jumping into the discussion, more fans chimed in, confessing Cassidy had slipped their minds too.

"Ya i don't even remember who this is!" one fan admitted, while another chimed in: "She was who became Attorney General instead of Jamie. Then she 'left 'to go work in DC, and then Jamie got made Attorney General." (sic)

"Not sure it was even a full minute," came a quip from another, complete with a laughing emoji, as yet another fan mused: "The most random post about a random third party character." (sic)

As the discussions heated up, some fans turned their attention to Rohrbach's actual departure from the limelight.

In 2019, coinciding with her marriage to Steuart Walton of the billionaire Walton clan, Rohrbach took a bow from the acting world, expressing a desire to step out of the spotlight.

One observant fan noted: "What is kinda ironic is that the actress seemed to 'step away' from acting in 2019 (after season 2 I believe)... after marrying into one of the Richest families in the United States... The Waltons." (sic)

To which another responded: "I'd step away from all sorts of things if I had married into the Walton family too."
