Whatsapp New Feature: WhatsApp is preparing to roll out a new privacy feature for users soon. The company is working towards improving the audio and video calling experience for its Android users. According to WABetaInfo, some new features are being tested in the app. Under this feature, users will now get more control before receiving a call.

This new feature will be available.

Under this new feature, users will now be able to mute their mic even before picking up the call. That is, if a voice call is coming and you are not in a position to talk immediately, then the microphone can be turned off even before picking up the call. Similarly, a new feature related to video calls is also being tested in which there will be an option to turn off the camera before receiving the call. This will allow users to convert video calls to voice mode and accept calls without turning on the camera.

According to WABetaInfo, this feature has been seen in version 2.25.10.16 of WhatsApp Beta for Android. If the camera is already off, an option named 'Accept without video' can also be seen on the call screen, which will help the user to choose. Apart from this, WhatsApp is working on another interesting feature to make video calling more interactive. This feature is called Live Emoji Reaction. Under this feature, users will be able to express their emotions through emojis in real-time during video calls, such as thumbs-up, laughing emoji or heart emoji. This feature will be used especially during group video calls where it may be necessary to give your reaction without interrupting the conversation.

Can be rolled out soon

Although all these features are still in the development stage, it is expected that in the coming time they will be made available to testers through the Google Play Beta program. If everything goes well, these updates can soon be rolled out for general users as well.
