Managing to motivate his fans with his intense workout routine, Ali Fazal continues to set the bar high for all fitness freaks! The actor swears by kickboxing and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) sessions to achieve the bulked-up body to play the role of a bodybuilder. Ali Fazal's trainer Rohit Nair shared in an interview that for the third season, their goal was to achieve a leaner physique while still maintaining his broad frame so his workout regimen involved a series of exercises to make him more fit and agile.

His gym sessions were designed to be very versatile, to deliver on the long list of physical demands of playing the famed character. A typical day in the gym for the actor involved sessions of combat, strength, functional and mobility training. Two days a week, Ali was focused on bodybuilding and combat training, which were followed by a day of HIIT exercises to increase his flexibility and agility, and then the next two days were focused on cardio which included activities like kickboxing and jiu-jitsu.

In one of his videos, Ali Fazal gave us a sneak peek into his kickboxing routine with a round of shadow boxing. For the uninitiated, shadowboxing is a full-body workout which focuses on the muscles of the arms, chest, shoulders and legs and is done to warm up before an intense boxing routine. Shadow boxing helps you prepare your body for the rigorous routine that is about to follow and helps avoid muscle spasms or other serious injuries.

In addition to intense workout sessions, Ali Fazal also indulged in fun activities like indoor wall climbing to keep things interesting and light-hearted. He highlighted the need to enjoy your workout session with exercises and activities that help work out your target areas.
