Isuzu D-Max ambulance launched at Rs 25.99 lakh: Boasts nearly double Tata Nexon's torque!

Isuzu Motors India has launched the Isuzu D-Max Ambulance , a fully-built vehicle conforming to AIS-125 Type C ambulance specifications. As per the manufacturer, the D-Max Ambulance is equipped with 14 best-in-class features, besides the likes of advanced safety features like Traction Control System, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Descent Control, and Emergency Brake Assist, along with passive safety measures like airbags, collapsible steering column, and side intrusion protection beams.

Isuzu D-Max Ambulance: Engine
The ambulance is powered by Isuzu's 1.9-litre VGS Turbo intercooled engine, delivering 160 hp and 360 Nm of torque . To put it into perspective, this is nearly twice as much as the Tata Nexon SUV’s 170 Nm of torque. This will help in ensuring quick acceleration and high speed, crucial during emergency situations. The model is built on iGRIP platform and the D-Max is capable of handling both urban and rural terrain.




Isuzu D-Max Ambulance: Patient compartment features
The patient compartment features durable, rust-free interiors, ample storage, and fully compliant medical equipment according to AIS-125 Type C specifications. The rear doors open wide for easy access, and the interior includes sliding windows, oxygen cylinder storage, and well-placed LED lighting. The model is priced at Rs 25,99,990 (ex-showroom, Chennai).
