Mercedes-Benz is ready to launch a special version of its popular performance SUV , the Mercedes-AMG G63 Collector’s Edition , on June 12. This new model will take inspiration from India’s rich culture and beautiful landscapes.

Though Mercedes has yet to reveal all the fine details, the upcoming Collector’s Edition is expected to feature exclusive cosmetic upgrades over the standard model. These could include exterior colours, specially curated interior upholstery, and unique trim elements designed to reflect Indian motifs. The edition will be offered in limited numbers and is expected to command a premium over the standard G63.
This marks the first time that Mercedes-Benz is creating a region-specific Collector’s Edition for the Indian market. Interestingly, the special edition has been fully conceptualised and configured in India. More details, including the price, will be announced at the launch event on June 12.
Under the hood, the AMG G63 Collector’s Edition will employ the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine . It belts out 585 hp and 850 Nm of torque and also, this mild-hybrid setup also gets a 48V starter-generator that adds a temporary 22 hp boost. The powertrain is paired with a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, with Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel-drive system taking care of power distribution to all four wheels. As for performance, 0 to 100 kmph comes up in just 4.4 seconds and it has a top speed governed at 220 kmph.
In terms of features, the G63 comes loaded with a MBUX infotainment system with voice assistance, wireless charging, 360-degree camera, automatic LED headlamps, keyless entry, and three-zone climate control. On the safety front, the AMG G63 offers nine airbags, blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and active brake assist.
