HDFC Bank's gross advances for the quarter ended March 31, 2025 grew by 5.4% year-on-year to Rs 26,43,500 crore versus 25,07,800 crore reported by the lender in the year ago period. The deposits at the end of Q4FY25 stood at Rs 27,14,500 crore, witnessing a 14.1% jump over Rs 23,79,800 crore reported in Q4FY24.
On a sequential basis, the gross advances were up by 4% against Rs 25,42,600 crore reported in Q3FY25. The deposits in the said period witnessed a 5.9% uptick over Rs 25,63,800 crore reported in the October-December quarter.
The bank’s average advances under management (advances grossing up for inter-bank participation certificates, bills rediscounted and securitisation / assignment) were reported at Rs 26,95,500 crore for the March 2025 quarter, which is a growth of around 7.3% over Rs 25,12,500 crore for the March 2024 quarter and a growth of around 2.6% over Rs 26,27,600 crore for the December 2024 quarter.
The bank’s period end advances under management were reported at Rs 27,73,500 crore as on March 31, 2025, a growth of around 7.7% over Rs 25,75,800 crore as of March 31, 2024, and a growth of around 3.3% over Rs 26,83,900 crore as of December 31, 2024.
On a year-on-year basis, retail loans grew by around 9.% while commercial & rural banking loans grew by around 12.8%. The corporate & other wholesale loans were lower by around 3.6% over March 31, 2024.
HDFC Bank’s average deposits were reported at Rs 25,27,900 crore for the March 2025 quarter, which is a growth of around 15.8% over Rs 21,83,600 crore for the March 2024 quarter and around 3.1% over Rs 24,52,800 crore for the December 2024 quarter.
The bank’s average CASA deposits were Rs 8,28,900 crore for Q4FY25 quarter which is a growth of around 5.7% over Rs 7,84,400 crore for the March 2024 quarter, and around 1.4% compared to Rs 8,17,600 crore for the December 2024 quarter.
The updates were announced after market hours and shares of HDFC Bank closed at Rs 1,792.80 on the NSE, falling by Rs 4.10 or 0.23%.
