A Clash at the Box Office
Adding to the excitement, Pushpa 2: The Rule will compete at the box office with Vicky Kaushal’s period drama, Chhaava, which also releases on December 6. Interestingly, Rashmika Mandanna plays key roles in both films. While Pushpa 2 continues the fictional saga started by 2021's blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, Chhaava tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava stars Vicky Kaushal in the titular role, with Rashmika as Yeshubai Bhosle, alongside Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta. This marks Vicky Kaushal’s second major box office clash after the release of Sam Bahadur, which competed with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.
