Here's some great news for Swifties aka Taylor Swift fans! After months of speculation and waiting, the news is that Taylor Swift is now (finally) turning an author. The big news was shared by Taylor herself in an announcement which was made on Good Morning America on October 15.
All about Taylor Swift's new book
Surprising her fans, the singer-songwriter shared that she will release her first official book soon after her Eras Tour ends in December 2024, which is “the most wondrous tour" of her life. Sharing details about her much-awaited book, Taylor said that the 256-page book will give an “official perspective” of her tour. In the upcoming book, which is aptly titled ' The Official Eras Tour Book ', Taylor will share her stories and memories from her Eras Tour and it will have some never-seen-before pictures from it.
"We’ll be kicking off the final leg of The Eras Tour this week, which is hard to comprehend. This tour has been the most wondrous experience and I knew I wanted to commemorate the memories we made together in a special way. Well, two ways actually. Excited to announce that 'The Official Eras Tour Book', filled with my own personal reflections, never-before-seen behind-the-scenes photos, all the magical memories you guys brought every single night," Taylor Swift revealed in a tweet.
Along with the book, Taylor will also release the physical copies that will explain her latest album The Tortured Poets Department 's anthology, which will be available in Target . "AND …. The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology on vinyl and CD will all be available for the first time ever only at @Target starting Nov 29th," the singer-songwriter and now author further shared in her tweet.
Be it 'London Boy' which is a mix of 'The Great Gatsby' and 'Macbeth' or 'Love Story' which refers to Romeo and Juliet, many famous songs by Taylor Swift have literary references and they are hugely popular among people. And so, fans have been wanting Taylor Swift to write a book for a long time. Some Swifties also believed that maybe it was Taylor who wrote the book 'Argyle' using a pseudonym. Meanwhile, in 2023, rumours were also rife that Taylor would release her memoir, however, that never happened.
How Swifties reacted to Taylor Swift's official book
Taylor Swift's announcement about her official book came as a pleasant surprise for her fans across the world. While some were elated and couldn't wait to catch hold of her new book, some others were upset that it would only be available in Target. A user tweeted on X, “Crying that this tour is coming to an end, but so excited we get to live those memories through a beautiful tour book. We love you endlessly." Another user said, “ONLY at Target?!?? Why do you hate your non-American fans.”
