In IPL 2025, on Monday, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals impressed the whole world. This player from Bihar broke many records by scoring a century in 35 balls. He made a splash in the IPL by becoming the youngest centurion ever in T20 cricket by scoring 101 runs in 38 balls with the help of 11 sixes and seven fours. Now the whole cricket world has become a fan of his daring strokeplay. However, Vaibhav says that hitting a six off the first ball is a common thing for him. Vaibhav said that serious situations do not have much effect on him.
'Hitting a six off the first ball is common'
This was only Vaibhav's third match in the IPL. He scored 34 runs off 20 balls in his first match in the IPL against Lucknow Supergiants and during this innings, he hit a six off the first ball. Vaibhav hit this six off Shardul Thakur's ball. At the same time, to complete the century, Vaibhav hit a six off Afghanistan's veteran spinner Rashid Khan. After leading his team to victory against Gujarat Titans, Vaibhav, while talking to the IPL T20 website, said, 'It was a normal thing for me. I have also played for India at the Under-19 and domestic level. There too I hit sixes on the first ball. I was not under pressure to play the first 10 balls. It was clear in my mind that if the ball comes in my reach, I will hit it.'
'Mother gets to sleep for three hours'
Vaibhav said, 'It was not that I was thinking that this is my first match. Yes, an international bowler was in front of me and the stage was big, but I only focused on my game.' This young player from Samastipur, Bihar was born exactly three years after the start of IPL. Suryavanshi also thanked his father Sanjeev and mother Aarti, who played an important role in reaching this point. He said, 'Whatever I am today is because of my parents. They have contributed a lot to my reaching this level. My mother sleeps at 11 pm due to my practice sessions and wakes up at 3 am. In this way, she hardly gets three hours of sleep.'

'Father always supported me'
Vaibhav said, 'My father left his job for me. My elder brother is handling the work and the house is running with great difficulty, but Papa is supporting me. God ensures that those who work hard never fail. The results we are seeing and the success I am achieving are because of my parents.' 14-year-old Vaibhav wants to focus on his game despite being in the headlines and his goal is to play for India for a long time. He said, 'I want to play for India and for this, I have to work hard. I cannot stop working hard until I reach that level. I will try to perform well for the country.'
