One of these is hidden anemia. If weakness persists in the body despite everything being fine in the blood report, then do not ignore it. This could be hidden anemia. Experts have told about this disease.

 

Dr Rajat Kumar of the Department of Medicine at Delhi's GTB Hospital explains that anemia or blood deficiency is usually identified when the level of hemoglobin is low. But sometimes there is a deficiency of iron, vitamin B12 or folate in the body, which does not show up in the initial tests. This is called hidden anemia.

 

 

In such a condition, despite the hemoglobin level being normal, the cells do not get enough oxygen, which causes weakness. Sometimes the iron level in the body decreases, but the hemoglobin level remains normal. In such a condition, anemia is not visible in the blood test, but problems like weakness, fatigue or hair fall may occur in the body.

 

What are the symptoms of hidden anemia

If weakness or fatigue persists despite eating enough food. Apart from this, there is a mild headache or dizziness.

Yellowing of the skin, hair loss or weakening of nails can also be symptoms of 'hidden anemia'

How to identify and prevent hidden anemia?

Dr Rajat says that if your blood test is normal but fatigue, dizziness or weakness persists, then do not ignore hidden anemia. Get a Ferritin test done. This test will reveal hidden anemia in the body. Pay attention to your diet to prevent this disease.

Iron, ferritin, vitamin B12, folate, thyroid, vitamin D should be tested as per the doctor's advice. It is good to include nutritious things like green leafy vegetables, pulses, fruits, milk, eggs, fish in the diet.

People can also benefit from eating foods rich in vitamin C like lemon or amla in their diet. A healthy person should sleep for 6 to 8 hours. Therefore, it is very important to get adequate sleep. Apart from this, doing yoga and meditation can also be beneficial and one should try to reduce stress.
