If you are also an Android user and use Google Photos, then there is good news for you. Google has released a new update for Google Photos, after which you do not need to take a backup. Here you will ask what is new in this, this feature was there earlier as well, so let us tell you that this feature was not there on the web version of Google Photos but now it has come.

Google Photos' mobile app has the facility of automatic backup but not on the web. After the new update, your computer's photos will be automatically backed up to Google Photos. After the new update, not only photos but the entire folder will be automatically backed up.

Earlier, when you used the web version of Google Photos, you had to manually select and upload images from your computer to take backup in the cloud. This hassle is now over. To set up automatic folder backup, you can go to photos.google.com and select the new option of "Back up folders" in the upload menu. You will then be asked to select a folder and grant permission to view the files in that folder each time you visit the page.

Once you have set it up, the feature will display the selected folder in a "Folder backup" pop-up window. The window will show the size of the backup and the number of files uploaded. You can click the three-dot menu button next to the selected folder to delete it.

However, for this feature to work, you will need to visit the Google Photos website from time to time to back up folders. This feature may not be as convenient as Google Drive's background upload, but it is better than manually uploading images from the computer.

A lot of cool features are being added to Google Photos lately. I really like the option to distinguish AI-generated images from real images, which Google is working on. Apart from this, Google Photos is also working on adding a "Timeline" feature instead of "Memories", which is quite interesting.
