North-Western and Northern States
Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan are expected to receive very heavy rains during the next 6-7 days.
Monsoon conditions will remain active and intense in these areas, increasing the risk of local floods and waterlogging.
Central and Eastern India
Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim and Jharkhand are also likely to receive heavy rains in the coming days.
East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Jharkhand may receive continuous rainfall, raising concerns in river catchment areas.
Western India
Isolated places over Konkan and Goa, Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
Madhya Maharashtra will also witness significant rainfall activity during this period.
Southern Peninsula
Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala are expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall throughout the week.
Northeast India
Heavy to very heavy rainfall will continue over parts of the Northeast, although the IMD has predicted below normal rainfall in many areas here in July.
Flood warning in some areas
Haryana and Uttarakhand are under threat of floods, especially due to heavy rains in the catchment areas of major rivers like the Yamuna and its tributaries.
