Emmerdale fans 'rumble double return' as Gabby and Vinny's wedding 'ruined'

There could be two familiar faces heading back to in the coming months according to fans.

After the big news that Vinny Dingle and Gabby Thomas were engaged, viewers suspected bad news was around the corner. They think one if not two particular past characters will head back to the village to ruin the couple's happiness, and their wedding.

The couple have not been together for that long, but agreed "when you know, you know" as they explained their decision to tie the knot. Their loved ones had anticipated a split for the pair after Vinny lashed out, and was clearly hiding something.

But the pair cleared the air as Vinny explained his fears about losing Gabby, and not being the man she and her son Thomas needed him to be. The couple made up and decided to get married, announcing their engagement to their families.

So a wedding is looming, while a date has not been set. But fans think the big day will be tarnished, and that one if not two past residents will cause a scene in a bid to ruin the wedding.

Some viewers have predicted this could be the moment Vinny's biological mother Tina Dingle makes her comeback. She returned after decades away late last year after her father Zak Dingle died.

But as well as dropping the bombshell she was Vinny's real mother, she blackmailed his adoptive mother Mandy Dingle and even tried to scam her own family out of the house. Clearly there to steal from her siblings and get her hands on the money, she wasted no time in tearing apart Mandy and Vinny's relationship.

Thankfully the pair have since made amends and put the drama behind them, with Vinny realising Tina didn't care about him after an ultimatum led to her fleeing. Tina knows Vinny has a lot of money, and Gabby also has her own money given her link to the Tates.

So might Tina return once more to wreck the wedding and steal from Vinny? Then there's Thomas' biological father Jamie Tate, who has been tipped for a comeback for months.

He's currently in hiding after faking his death, not wanting his mother Kim or anyone to know where he is. There was a moment where it was hinted he was planning to return to steal his son Thomas, so will Jamie find out about Gabby's plans to wed Vinny and come back for his son?

Taking to social media, one fan predicted: "I'm thinking it is JAMIE TATE [will return]." Another said: "It’ll be Jamie," as a third added: "Probably be Jamie." Others were leaning towards Tina being back on the show though.

One viewer commented: "I wonder if Vinny's wedding could lead to a return for Tina cos her stint was so abrupt." Another fan agreed: "I've grown to like them as a couple too but there has to be some drama somewhere, especially with so many weddings being planned - maybe Tina comes back or even Jamie Tate?"
