Manchester United legend has become a co-owner of , a non-league club that was founded by disenfranchised Red Devils fans following the Malcolm Glazer takeover in 2005.
The manifesto on the club's website states that they hope to "create a football club which addresses the concerns which many fans have had over the 17 years or more with how the club and football have developed, culminating in the club's takeover by Malcolm Glazer".
And United icon Cantona, who has been a vocal critic of the Glazer family's ownership, has joined forces with the club and become a co-owner. In a video posted on social media, Cantona said: "The Cantona family, we're all members of United FC.
"All the people from all around the should be members of United FC because it's a great club. Young history but a great history. I hope we will share the membership of United FC!"
Following the Glazer takeover, . He said: "Glazer could pay me a 100million Euros to be manager and I still wouldn't go there.

"I don't think Glazer knows the game, I don't think he is passionate about the game. I don't think he loves the game. I love Manchester United too much, the identity and philosophy of Manchester United.
"I still have Manchester United in my heart. But because Glazer is a human being, he will die and Manchester United will still be there. I will die and Manchester United will be there. Glazer is nothing in comparison with Manchester United.
"I love the club but I don't like it with him in charge. I don't like these kind of people who are involved in the game. I will fight in whatever way to get Glazer out of this club.
"I love it when the United fans still sing my name. But now they should sing 'Cantona for chairman, we want Cantona as the new chairman of Manchester United!'"
Cantona reiterated his views in a 2022 interview with the Athletic, suggesting the club switch to a fan ownership model. "Yes, maybe [it is time for the Glazers to go]. I thought about something also. This club has on social media hundreds of thousands of fans.
"If they create an application today saying that 50 per cent of the club can be sold, then why should you have one person or two people who invest £500million?
"Instead, you can have hundreds of millions of people who spend 10 euros, 20 euros, 100 euros, 1,000 euros, and 50 per cent of the club is owned by the real fans of Manchester United. With social media now, you would do that like this."
