M4 car fire brings Bank Holiday traffic chaos as road closed

A car fire has closed a major motorway - causing disruption on a busy day of Bank Holiday travel.

The closure affected a stretch of the M4 between J23 at Magor and J23a at Coldra. A later update from Traffic Wales South at 1.56pm confirmed that the road had reopened. It comes after the AA warned that 20 million drivers were expected across Britain's roads this bank holiday weekend.
