Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is juggling a busy schedule these days. While he continues to perform concerts, he is also gearing up for multiple films. Recently, the poster of his upcoming film Sardar 3 was released, showing him among women in veils. Soon, Diljit is set to begin work on Sunny Deol’s Border 2. However, in the midst of all this, he has exited a major film. The news was confirmed by Akshay Kumar’s director Anees Bazmee, who also revealed some surprising details.
Salman Khan’s No Entry 2 is another much-anticipated sequel currently in the works, but this time the original Salman Khan team won’t be part of it. Instead, new actors like Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh were signed on. But Diljit has now quit the project, and Anees Bazmee spoke openly about this to News 18.
Why Did Diljit Leave No Entry 2?
Anees Bazmee confirmed the news of Diljit’s departure and said he is not upset about it. The veteran director, who has worked with Akshay Kumar on many occasions, stated that this kind of thing happens often in the industry. He believes everything will turn out well. Anees said he works honestly and leaves the rest to God.
He added that sometimes he has had to work with second or third choices of actors, but when the films released, audiences felt those actors were the perfect fit. Recalling his brief 10-second meeting with Diljit, Anees said both wanted the film to succeed, but Diljit had concerns about his schedule.
Who Will Replace Diljit Dosanjh?
Anees revealed that discussions about Diljit’s dates were ongoing because of constant postponements. Boney Kapoor was also involved in these talks. But the director is optimistic — whatever happens will be for the best. Though Diljit agreed to the film without hearing the full script, now he is out. The replacement for Diljit will be announced soon.
Diljit is focusing on Border 2, with shooting starting from June 10.
