This incident happened in a village in Raebareli district. 32-year-old Govind Kashyap and Atul Singh had gone to the field to harvest paddy. Seeing a good crop, they started harvesting paddy. Both Atul Singh and Govind Kashyap were busy working. While harvesting in the afternoon, Atul Singh saw a snake. A snake was sitting coiled in the paddy field. Seeing the snake, Atul Singh ran away screaming.
Hearing Atul Singh's shouts, Govind Kashyap came near and saw the snake. The snake got scared and tried to run away quickly. Then Govind Kashyap hit the snake with a stick. The seriously injured snake tried to run away again but failed. Govind Kashyap crushed the snake to death with his shoes.
After killing the snake, it was time for dinner. So Atul Singh and Govind Kashyap left the field for home. They left the dead snake in the field and left. After eating, Atul Singh went to rest for a while. But Govind Kashyap quickly came back to the field to harvest paddy. By then, the laborers of the nearby fields had gone to their homes. People working in the nearby field said that another snake was roaming around the dead snake for a long time. That is why the villagers are saying that the other snake has taken revenge.
