In this campaign, priority is being given to those public roads which are recorded in the revenue records but have been closed due to some reason or the other and whose closure has affected a large number of farmers and villagers.
There are a lot of complaints about the lack of roads to reach farms and homes in the state. Cases of road disputes have been going on in the courts for a long time. In such a situation, the Bhajanlal government of Rajasthan has shown a 'new way' to provide relief to the common people by opening these closed roads for the first time. Actually, 'Rasta Kholo Abhiyan' has been started in the entire state from May 1. The purpose of this campaign is to provide smooth transportation facilities to villagers, farmers and people living in huts. In Jhunjhunu district too, about a dozen closed roads have been opened by the officials on the first day.
What did Jhunjhunu District Collector say?District Collector Ramavatar Meena said that all the complaints received at the subdivision level, district level and the state government regarding road disputes have been listed and handed over to the concerned officials. Officials have been instructed to open these roads through mutual understanding and legal action, so that the common people can get relief. He said that efforts will be made to benefit as many people as possible through this campaign.

Hundreds of road disputes will be resolvedUnder the campaign, those roads decided under Section 251 of Rajasthan Tenancy Act 1955, which have not been implemented till now, will also be implemented. Also, those roads which have not been marked in the records, their survey and action to record them in the records will also be done during the campaign. The District Collector said that this campaign will resolve hundreds of road disputes in Jhunjhunu and roads which have been closed for years will be able to be used by the public again.
