Bhubaneswar: In another setback to BJD, its two more leaders including a block chairperson joined BJP in Bhubaneswar on Monay.
The chairperson of Rina Nayak, chairperson of Saharpada block in Keonjhar district and Alok Mahant, president of Keonjhar District Bar Association joined BJP. Both the leaders from the district were elected to their respective posts with support from BJD.
Both Rina and Alok were joined the saffron party in the residence of chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the capital city. The district president of BJP and Yuva Morcha president were also present on the occasion.
Speaking to the media, Rina said she joined the ruling party in the state in order to further strengthen her efforts to extend services to the people. Similarly, Alok said he had been neglected by the top leadership of the BJD and one-man rule in the party. He hoped to do better service to his profession as a BJP worker, he added.
