E.ON Next is giving customers up to £1,500 worth of free vouchers to spend at a retailer of their choice, including Marks and Spencer, Argos, Sainsbury's and Waitrose.
The energy supplier has launched a new referral scheme that rewards customers with a £50 voucher to spend every time they refer a friend. To be eligible for the freebie, new customers must transfer to E.ON Next from another energy supplier and sign up through their friend's unique 'MentionMe' link. As a thank you, both the new and existing customer will each receive a £50 voucher to spend at a qualifying retailer of their choice.
Through the scheme, customers are allowed to make up to five referrals per day, which would result in £250 worth of vouchers, or a total of 25 referrals each year, amounting to £1,250 in vouchers.
There is a limit of £1,500 worth of rewards in total over a period of 12 months and vouchers will be sent around four weeks after your friend signs up and pays their first Direct Debit.
More than 100 retailers are included in the referral scheme, including Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's, Argos, Waitrose, Greggs and Ticketmaster.
E.ON Next explains: "Once you've signed up to E.ON Next, you'll be invited to join our new Refer a Friend scheme. You'll get a unique link to share with friends, so if someone signs up through your link and pays their first Direct Debit, you both get a £50 voucher to spend with over 100 retailers.
"You can earn multiple £50 vouchers, but there are some limits to keep things fair. You can't receive more than five rewards in any 24-hour period, 25 rewards in a 12-month period, or £1,500 worth of rewards in total over 12 months."
Julian Lennertz, Chief Commercial Officer, E.ON Next, said: "We know our customers have really valued the £50 credit they received on their energy account under our previous scheme.
"We've also learned that our customers want more choice over where and how they spend their £50 thank you, so they can get the best value for them. That's why they can now choose from hundreds of retailers.
"And because we appreciate all of our customers, old and new, we have expanded the scheme to reward our new customers as well as the existing ones who are making the referrals."
