A new study by Affordable Urns has revealed the UK's most haunted counties and towns, ranking them by paranormal activity reports.
Research shows the most town in the UK is Ipswich with 43 reported ghost sightings across just 15 square miles. Haunted locations include the Ancient House and Christchurch Mansion.
Ipswich is home to a number of tourist attractions and while it may not be the most obvious place for a day out in the UK - there is actually a lot to do and see there.
You can visit Christchurch Park which features a Tudor mansion or you can take a trip to Ipswich Waterfront which has a selection of cafes and marina views.
If you're a food lover, you can't miss the Suffolk Food Hall which has a huge array of options for a delicious dinner where there's something for everyone.
In second place for the in the UK is Lincoln with 33 paranormal reports - its most haunted spots were Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral. Cambridge takes third place with 34 haunted sites, including Corpus Christi College and Peterhouse College.
The next most haunted is Exeter, also with 34 paranormal reports, notably at Exeter Cathedral and Rougemont Castle. In fifth place comes with haunted sites like Oxford Castle and the Bodleian Library.
The towns and cities are said to be among the most eerie in the UK and with Halloween just around the corner, now would be the perfect time to take an autumn trip to these haunted parts of England.
