Italian media outlets are claiming that Federico Chiesa could be eyeing a return to come January, following what's been a rocky start to life at .
Chiesa, who made a switch from to Anfield in the summer transfer window for a modest sum of £10million, was initially hailed as a shrewd acquisition by the Reds. However, the 27-year-old winger has struggled to find his footing in the .
Since contributing to Liverpool's 2-1 victory over last month, Chiesa has been sidelined due to an injury sustained during training ahead of their match against Bologna. His contributions have been limited to just three appearances, including a solitary start.
Liverpool boss shed light on Chiesa's absence prior to the recent clash with , stating: "He missed a complete pre-season, I said this many times, and going to a league where the intensity might even be higher than the Italian league.

"That has not so much to do with the Italian league or the Premier League, that has more to do with him missing a complete pre-season and that is so difficult for every player when the games are constantly there to build them up towards the levels we are at."
Chiesa's challenges have sparked rumours of a potential move when the transfer window reopens. According to , Liverpool might consider loaning out the struggling winger in January to reassess his future at a later stage.
Italian giants , , and are reportedly keen on securing Chiesa's services on a short-term basis. However, Slot appears to have dismissed any immediate plans for Chiesa to leave Anfield.
"It's a big disappointment for him that he is going in and out of the training sessions all the time. I feel sorry for him," Slot commented earlier this week.
"But he signed a long-term contract so we will see what he brings for us. But at the moment, unfortunately for him he has been one or two times in the team selection and not more than that."
