
Two people have died following a caravan fire at a holiday park in Lincolnshire. Lincolnshire Police were called at 3.53am today to a report of a caravan fire at Goldenbeach Holiday Park, Roman Bank, Ingoldmells, where two people tragically died.
Their next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers. A police spokesperson said the investigation into the cause of the blaze was "at the very early stages" and said officers were "keeping an open mind". The spokesperson added: "We have crime scene investigators on site and we are carrying out out inquiries to determine the exact cause of the fire."
Five crews from Skegness, Wainfleet, Spilsby and Alford attended the scene with two crews still on site, said Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue. The victims are a 48-year-old man and a 10-year-old girl, according to the .
The tragedy is the second fire at the caravan park in the space of a few days.
Firefighters from Skegness Fire Station and Wainfleet Fire Station were called to another blaze on April 1 at about 10.45pm.
On that occasion the fire was caused by an electrical fault within the fuse board.
