supporters were pictured flying Nazi flags at a boat rally in Juniper, Florida.
Photos and videos posted to social media appeared to show a group flying the flag and chanting racist slogans at the parade on Sunday.
Donald Trump's campaign responded to the images claiming that the people pictured were really supporters of his Democratic rival Kamala Harris trying to "create fake news".
Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told : " Kamala's supporters are reaching all-time lows. Social media posts show that genuine Trump supporters identified these idiots as liberal activists trying to create fake news."
"They clearly responded accordingly," she added.
Ms Leavitt was apparently referring to a that showed another boat turning their engines towards the alleged fascists and soaking them with water, Newsweek reports.
Express.co.uk has not independently verified the identity of the people onboard.
She added that the former President "abhors the hatred implied in these images". Ms Leavitt said the behaviour was "unacceptable" and "against everything" the Republican Presidential candidate stands for.
Ms Leavitt also said Trump had worked to expand the Civil Rights Act to tackle antisemitism, referencing an executive order he issued in 2019.
Trump, she said, "is steadfast in the fight against bigotry", adding that the GOP pick would "restore our nation's greatness."
Carlos Gavidia, who organised the boat parade, also claimed without evidence that the incident had been carried out by "the left", and numerous other attendees took to X to distance themselves from the group.
"The left tried to send in some agitators to create a false narrative!" Gavidia wrote on Facebook. "After our patriots propped wash them, PB police detained them so they could not be part of the ultimate Trump boat parade."
Kamala Harris' campaign and the Democratic Party are yet to comment on the claims.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has been approached for comment via email.
