Prince William made a joke about parenting today as
The Prince of Wales, 42, participated in a community event hosted by the NFL Foundation on October 15.
The event highlighted the organisation's efforts to support young people in some of the most deprived areas in the UK through flag football.
As well as talking about the sport, which is a non-contact version of American football where tackles are made by pulling off flags which all players wear on their hips, Prince William spent some time having a go himself.
According , the prince was reportedly handed three mini balls for Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, before leaving the event.
He was also handed a full-size ball for himself so the family could practice the sport at home together.
The prince seemed chuffed about the gifts and even made a joke about parenting. He was heard on one video saying: "Oh that's very kind.
"Never go home empty-handed, that's a crucial motto of being a parent.
"That's really kind of you. Thank you very much. They'll love that."
The prince, who was not accompanied by his wife Princess Kate on the visit, also made a joke about practising the sport at home in Windsor.
He said while laughing: "We're going to do some practice together. Let's see how many windows I can smash."
After attending the event, royal fans were quick to , which included bright white trainers.
