Ruth Langsford has shared her morning routine that includes freshening up her bed with a budget-friendly cologne. When getting ready for work, the Loose Women presenter reportedly spends an hour and a half on makeup and chores like clearing the dishwasher.
The 65-year-old recently took to Instagram and left viewers intrigued when she mentioned a she uses every day - and it's available to purchase on Amazon. More than 200 shoppers have left five-star reviews of the product online. Ruth shared: "Morning routine - alarm goes off at 5am. I do a couple of snoozes and I get up at 5:15am. I shake my duvet, I plump my pillows, air my bed and spray it with my cologne - gorgeous."
One fan started a comment thread asking: "Which cologne do you spray on your bed, Ruth?" and to that, the ITV star revealed: "It's called and I buy big bottles of it from the supermarket or chemist when I go on holiday to Portugal and Spain. Or I order it online from PureSpain."
The northern Spanish household name has been around for nearly a century and customers praise for quality products with a very delicate and natural scent, and the name "Heno de Pravia" suggests the aroma is inspired by the hay fields of the mountains of Pravia in Asturias. The scent was said to have similar notes as the , which is reduced to £18.08 on Superdrug. Meanwhile, is available at £26 and the blends 20 of the purest possible essential oils including lavender, jasmine and sandalwood help the customer to destress and relax.
The Heno de Pravia Eau de Cologne is a refreshing fragrance that gives a hints of linalool and citronellol. One fan said: "Oh my mum loves that, reminds her of fond memories of holidays in Spain."
Some checked online and realised it's 'too expensive for something that doesn't stay long'. The scent happened to be sold out on the site Ruth mentioned but for those who are still keen to buy it, Amazon is selling the in a giant 780ml bottle, for £12.99.
The Amazon's Choice bestseller is highly rated by shoppers with one penning: "Resident as I am in the UK, it was a pleasant surprise for me to find this good general use Eau de Cologne on Amazon. It (and the soap) remind me of holidays in Spain visiting my relatives. For me, it (along with the herbal smells that hit you when you alight from a plane) is a nostalgic smell of Spain."
But another found the scent 'a little too feminine' and disliked the bottle design, saying: "The biggest problem has to be its poor bottle cap which must be a known design fault since it was sellotaped down for transit and a little (10-20ml) had leaked out by the time it arrived."
A satisfied shopper said it's a good value product and she enjoyed using it as a "room fragrance, wash, rinse and body spray in a rich citrus smell."
Another hailed it as 'delicious', adding: "I have used this many times, first bought it in Spain, spray linen, use as cologne, love love love it."
