Strictly Come Dancing fans say Pete Wicks is 'truly cursed' after update

Strictly Come Dancing fans are convinced Pete Wicks is "truly cursed" after finding out his dance for this week.

Pete recently spoke out about romance rumours between him and Jowita Przysta , insisting they never kissed.

"You wake up on a Sunday morning and it's stories that haven't even happened," he said, "For example, during the choreography, there's been a story going around for two weeks saying me and Jowita kissed during the dance. Everyone watched it on TV! They called it a 'passionate kiss', it's the choreography!"

Speaking on the Staying Relevant podcast, he added: "I had this 'bad boy' persona, and that's my fault, but the person I am now is different to the person I was 11 years ago, and the person I am now is different to the person I will be in 11 years. You as a person move on, but the narrative doesn't. It is what it is and you can't complain."

Pete and Jowita will be dancing a Rumba to Don't Look Back In Anger and now fans are convinced this won't end well for the pair. Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: "Truly cursed" in response to the song and dance choice combination.

Another fan posted: "Pete doing a rumba, that's going to fuel the rumours also that song I wouldn't associate with a rumba," as a third added: "A rumba to don't look back in anger wtf no."

The pair have had mixed reviews from the judges on their dances so far including a Samba to George of the Jungle for Movie Week, whilst they also did a Quickstep to Town Called Malice.

Speaking about why he decided to do the show, he said: "I've realised life's too short. I lost my nan two years ago, and it's the worst thing that's ever happened to me. I didn't get a chance to make her proud before she died. Trying new things, and being a better version of myself, is important to me, because hopefully, she's watching, and she'll be proud."

One more Strictly pairing will leave this weekend on the BBC show, following Nick Knowles exit from the programme last week.

Speaking about his exit, Nick said at the time: "I've really, really been surprised by how much I've loved doing it and by two things that happen. One is how much you care each week, and the other is how much you don't want to let down your partner. The only reason I could do this is simply because of Luba's changes, she's been amazing.

"Luba's been amazing and just been so fabulous every day. And I should say thank you also to all the background staff, the physios, all the people that have actually got me through this week, and to all of my fellow competitors who have been absolutely astounding, beautiful people. There are some amazing dancers up there, and I will love watching the rest of the series."

Strictly Come Dancing airs weekends on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
