A in rural England has such good restaurants, guests have been known to splurge £250,000 in just three days. Bray in Berkshire may only have four places to eat, but three of them have seven Michelin stars between them.
The "quaint" and "quiet" village, tucked on the meandering River Thames, attracts celebrities, sports stars, leaders of industry, foreign government officials and even the Royal Family, all looking for fine dining "out of the spotlight". Nico Di Razza, who's assistant sommelier at the three Michelin-star Waterside Inn founded by legendary , told the Express "footballers" and "big CEOs from big companies" regularly frequent the restaurant.
The Neapolitan, who came to the UK 13 years ago, explained that despite the restaurant's steep prices (the two-course a la carte menu starts at £210 per person), high-profile guests don't visit "to flash their wealth".
"They're just there to have a good meal and be quiet", he said. "I think that's the point of the Waterside Inn. It's tucked away so people enjoy the privacy, that's why they come to us", he added.
Nico added that even though he'd only been at the Waterside Inn for a year and a half, he had served enormously wealthy and powerful guests.
"People from the Royal Family, they come quite often", he said. "One of the regulars organised the whole Qatar World Cup. He's one of our wealthiest."
When our reporter pressed him on who the rich Qatari government official was, the Italian wine expert explained: "I don't think I'm allowed to disclose."
Despite not revealing the man's identity, Nico did reveal the astounding amount he had spent for a three-day stay at the inn.
"He stayed with us for three days.. and three nights. Dined with us - lunch and dinner. When he comes he usually rents the whole private dining room for himself. It's just him and his wife," he said.
"[He spent] close to £250,000 altogether for the three days and three nights and the meals - and he doesn't even drink. So it's just food and rent, basically."

Asked which guest had spent the most on a single meal, Nico said: "One of our Russian guests, table of two - £35k." The Italian was quick to note that guests had likely spent far more, but that £35,000 was the most expensive bill he'd seen for just one dinner in the 18 months he'd worked at the Waterside Inn.
The Express spoke to the Boonvisuit family from Thailand as they left the exclusive restaurant. The family's eldest son, Peem, said: "We came here just to eat in this restaurant."
His younger brother, Peak, who studies marketing at the London School of Economics said the four of them enjoyed the £265-per-head three-course a la carte menu.
As if such opulence wasn't enough for a village that doesn't even have a post office, Bray has two more Michelin star restaurants. Both owned by quirky, experimental chef Heston Blumenthal, The Fat Duck, which has menus priced between £225 and £450 per head, has three stars and The Hinds Head, which is far cheaper, has one.
Visitors to The Fat Duck, husband and wife-to-be Matthew Fehrsen and Caroline Blaylock, from Cape Town, explained that they were in the UK for a wedding in the Cotswolds.
Despite being in the country to see loved ones get married, Caroline conceded: "One of our highlights is coming to The Fat Duck."
Meanwhile, Laurence Hoare, who said he put on music festivals across the country, was looking forward to £31 fish and chips in The Hinds Head.
"The English national dish is fish and chips and we all have it. Fish on a Friday and all that. Allegedly it is the best in the country," he added.
So if anyone else wants to open a restaurant in this tiny village, that's only a few miles from Heathrow Airport, standards are high. Very high.
