Lloyd Glasspool will have the "vocal" backing of his fiancee Sophia today as he seeks to make Wimbledon history with Julian Cash today.
The in-form duo will bid to extend their 13-match winning streak to become the first all-British pairing to win the men's doubles final since 1936.
And in the first match on Centre Court at 1pm today, they are already certain to have the loudest support from their friends and family
Cash, 28, said: "It makes it feel a bit normal - they are the people we travel with all year round, They are quite vocal. Lloyd's fiancee is very vocal - she is great. She gets us through some tough moments. They have been great throughout the tournament. But they put in a great shift in the not so glamorous weeks as well. That helps a lot.
Glasspool, 31, added: "Hopefully there is no coaching from her - I just try to zone in. I don't know a lot of what she says but it is all positive. She is very consistent throughout the match - she is very vocal. I really appreciate it. I think Julian really likes it as well. It lifts us as a team for sure."
Glasspool, the brother of former Hollyoaks actor Parry, and barrister Sophia Maslin will be married by the Friday before the Queen's Club event next June. "Not sure of the date - should probably know that," he laughed.
The No.5 seeds won grasscourt titles at Queen's Club and Eastbourne last month will be the hot favourites to beat Rinky Hijikata and David Pel. The Aussie-Dutch alternate pairing had never played together before but beat the No.1 seeds in the semi-final.
"I think it makes it harder - it is probably the first match we are going in as favourites from rankings," Glasspool added. "Tricky pair. They have never played together before so no-one has any rankings on them. They have just taken out the best team in the world this year - it is going to be an extremely difficult match but hopefully we will have the crowd with us and it will be an exciting match.
"I don't think at all about the two Brits winning it - it is more Wimbledon for me. But if I take a step back and look at the bigger picture, it will be an amazing achievement. And I guess Wimbledon would probably like it as well."
