Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has set Monday, October 28, 2024 as the record date for determining which shareholders are qualified for its 1:1 bonus share issue. The decision was approved by the company's shareholders.Furthermore, RIL has secured shareholder approval to expand its authorised share capital, according to a recent filing with stock exchanges.As per the company's filing on the exchange, "we wish to inform that the Company has fixed Monday, October 28, 2024 as the Record Date for the purpose of determining the equity shareholders of the Company eligible for bonus equity shares of the Company."
On September 5, Reliance Industries' Board of Directors approved the issuing of bonus shares at a 1:1 ratio. The shareholders who held a fully paid-up equity share of Rs 10 on the record date will receive an additional Rs 10 share.The issuance is the largest ever bonus equity share distribution in the Indian equities market, demonstrating the company's commitment to rewarding its shareholders.On Wednesday, the shares of Reliance Industries closed at Rs 2,709.40. The 52 week high and low of the share is Rs 3,217.60 and Rs 2,220.30 respectively.
