A top former Pentagon personnel has claimed that UFO 'mother ships' were seen over many US military bases recently - an intrusion that as yet remains unexplained. According to the official, the 'mother ships' were 'releasing swarms of smaller craft' into the air. The statements, published by the Daily Mail, come after a large group of small and noisy UFOs were allegedly spotted for more than two weeks over the Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. The UFOs were seen 'flashing red, green and white lights' during the time of dusk, as per eyewitness accounts. Chris Mellon, the top former Pentagon personnel, stated that "the episode was part of a much larger pattern affecting numerous national security installations," reported the Daily Mail. He went on to add that "drone signal-jamming devices have proven ineffective and these craft are making no efforts to remain concealed." Mellon also stated that a series of intrusions similar to the Virginia one also happened over California's Palmdale. Referring to the Palmdale incident, an Edwards Air Force Base spokesperson told The War Zone in August that the situation was being 'monitored' and an investigation was going on to identify any negative intentions behind the repeated intrusions in these highly restricted areas. Furthermore, the same kind of endeavors were underway to understand the situation in Langley, but Air Combat Commander General Mark Kelly stated that the government is puzzled in this case. It's been almost more than 10 months and despite meticulous efforts by police personnel, NASA researchers and other investigators to identify the unknown craft, no answers have been found till now.
