Rourkela: A motorcyclist was killed and another riding pillion sustained serious injuries after a car dashed into their bike in Sundargarh district on Friday night. The deceased was identified as Vikash Dungdung (26). The car driver sustained minor injuries but is on the run.
On Friday at 8 pm, Vikash along with Sunil Kumar (25) were returning to their village by a bike when a car coming from the opposite direction crashed into their two-wheeler at Rajabasa following which both Vikash and Sunil fell down and sustained critical injuries. Locals shifted both to Bonai sub-divisional hospital where doctors declared Vikash brought dead. Sunil was later referred to Rourkela Govt Hospital.
On Saturday, post-mortem was conducted and Vikash's body handed over to his family. Bonai police have registered a case.TNN
