Kochi: Actor Unni Mukundan on Saturday said that he did not assault his former manager Vipin Kumar amid the latter raising various allegations against him.
Addressing reporters here, the actor said that he did throw Vipin's sunglasses during the verbal argument but did not physically harm him and said there are witnesses to the incident.
He said he approached the DGP with a complaint against Vipin, citing that he has a criminal background. Earlier, Infopark Police registered a case against Mukundan based on Vipin's complaint. On Saturday, a court granted him bail.
"What is happening now is a third-rate PR stunt. It's not PR but personal vendetta. Everyone who knows me is aware that the allegations linking me with Tovino Thomas are baseless. We are close friends. Recently, a lady called me, mentioning matters with his (Vipin) criminal background. I reported all this to the DGP and DySP. There are several complaints against the Vipin from the film organisations," the actor said.
"Vipin claimed it's an issue with my character. What is wrong with my character? What have I done to anyone? I am still in Kerala. I appeared in court when required and answered questions in front of the media. I did not run away anywhere," Mukundan added.
