Ratan Tata's ashes to be immersed in Arabian Sea

MUMBAI: Ratan Tata 's ashes will be immersed in the Arabian Sea as per the desires expressed by him, said sources. To fulfill his final wishes, a group consisting of Tata's close relatives and intimate friends will embark on vessels from the iconic Gateway of India .

The solemn procession will make its way into the open waters, where the ashes of the revered industrialist will be reverently immersed. The serene waters of the Arabian Sea will serve as the final resting place for a man whose legacy will continue to inspire generations.

The decision to immerse Tata's ashes in the Arabian Sea is a testament to his deep connection with Mumbai, the city where he spent most of his life and built his business empire. The Tata Group , under his leadership, became India’s largest conglomerate, with a presence in various sectors such as steel, automobiles, technology, and hospitality.

Tata breathed his last in Mumbai on October 9. Prior to his demise, he had been admitted to the Breach Candy hospital on October 6 due to complications arising from dehydration.
