Known for his unwavering commitment to his work, Aamir Khan recently discussed the ‘Mr Perfectionist’ nickname and revealed some interesting insights from his experiences on film sets.
On Being Called ‘Mr Perfectionist’
When questioned about the ‘Mr Perfectionist’ title, Aamir told ABP that everyone strives to improve continuously. He never labeled himself that way, but he does appreciate the compliment.
Confirming the Bathing Rumour
The discussion became intriguing when Aamir was questioned about the persistent rumour that he went 12 days without bathing during a film shoot. He confirmed that he had indeed done this twice. During the filming of 'Rakh', he avoided bathing to authentically portray his character, who lives on the streets after leaving home, aiming to make the portrayal as realistic as possible by looking like someone who had actually ended up on the road.
Maintaining Continuity in ‘Ghulam’
Aamir also recounted an experience from the 1998 film 'Ghulam', where during a prolonged climax action sequence in which his character is severely beaten, he chose not to bathe for an entire week. He explained that bathing daily after shooting would have disrupted the continuity of his injuries, making him look fresh and breaking the realism of the scene. To maintain the consistent look and feel required for the sequence, he deliberately avoided bathing.
