Nutritionist Khyati Rupani, who worked as a dietitian at one of Mumbai’s renowned hospitals, recently opened up about her time working with high-profile patients, including some of Bollywood's biggest stars. She reflected on her experiences with actors like Rishi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan during their time at the hospital. She recalled the time when Saif was admitted for angioplasty.
In an interview with Ronak Kotecha on YouTube, Khyati spoke about Saif’s time at the hospital for angioplasty. Rupani remembered an unusual request made by the actor during his recovery period.

“I know Saif Ali Khan was there recently, but back then, he’d come for an angioplasty. He was very particular about, ‘Why is there no dessert?’ I told him, ‘You’ve just had an angioplasty, sir. I’m not going to…’ So, we worked it out. I went to the kitchen and said, ‘Let’s not give him a regular dessert.’ So, we used to make custard and jelly.”
Saif’s past medical emergency dates back to 2007, when he reportedly suffered a mild heart attack. According to his sister, Soha Ali Khan, the incident followed an intense period of work and travel. “Saif had been working day and night and was over-exerted,” she told Hindustan Times back then. In a recent interview with PTI, Soha also spoke about the shocking stabbing incident Saif faced last year. “It disturbed all of us. Our main concern was that he was fine — which he was — and has fully recovered now and is back to work. That was our focus. Thank God he is alright,” Soha stated.
In the same conversation, the dietitian also spoke about Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan's mother, Teji Bachchan.
