It was during the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 that Deepika Padukone was seen coming out to cast her vote in Mumbai with her husband, Ranveer Singh. Deepika was seen at a booth polling station and interestingly was seen flaunting her baby bump.

Deepika was in her second trimester, and was spotted carrying the baby bump in a white shirt and blue jeans. The couple wade through a sea of eager paparazzi. Ranveer smiled at them and walked hand in hand with his wife.

As voting deciding the fate of their country, they were also preparing themselves for that new journey awaiting them as parents. It's a throwback to remembering the joys of family, importance of values, and the gorgeous journey of parenthood which Deepika and Ranveer share together.

The couple had announced the pregnancy on February 29, causing much excitement among fans and well-wishers.

Back then in an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Deepika spoke about how she had two working parents who were still able to give every aspect of their lives time and dignity, whether its work or being home with them. "I really hope that when Ranveer and I start a family, we’re able to do it the way I experienced it as a child with my parents. Just rooted, and wholesome, and secure,” she said.

The couple took it to their Instagram and welcomed an adorable baby girl on 8 September, 2024.
