Actor Vedang Raina recently spoke about his response to Ranbir Kapoor's viral behind-the-scenes (BTS) video of the famous lip-syncing performance from the movie Rockstar.
Speaking to Lallantop, Vedang Raina, who has always been an admirer of Ranbir's portrayal as a singer in the film, shared his thoughts about how the BTS footage change his perception.
Ranbir Kapoor did perfectly lip-synced in Rockstar which made many think he could really sing. The film has etched an unforgettable signature in Ranbir's career, and the hero continues to bask in accolades for his dashing performance as a musician. Vedang Raina, who considers Ranbir an inspiration, admitted that he too was captivated by RK’s performance and was curious to know if Ranbir could really sing.
“Ranbir ki jo lip syncing hai, I have always been a big fan of him, and he does it so wonderfully. Rockstar meri favourite film hai, toh main BTS dekhna chahta tha, ki wo actually gaa sakte hain ya nahi, Raina shared in the interview. (I've always been a fan of Ranbir's lip-syncing. Rockstar is my favorite movie, so I was curious to see if he could actually sing).
But it was the viral video that surprised Vedang at what actually happened. "It was negative," he admitted. "He did not even sing." This exposed Vedang to rethink himself and how he should carry out performance in music. This revelation made Vedang rethink his approach to musical performances. "I learned not to focus on matching the pitch but to put all my energy into the performance," he said, emphasizing the importance of authenticity on screen.
